Recently, I attended the IKEA x VIRGIL ABLOH Release Event held in a unique setting at Lessingstrasse 15 in Zürich. The evening was full of surprises, including a Raffle where attendants could win one of the pieces from the collection and an amazing rap music performance.

A unique setting provided the opportunity to discover all 15 items from a collaboration named “MARKERAD”, including carpets, a table, mirrors, a clock and even small furniture pieces. Throughout this collection, the pieces featured words in quotation marks and embossed marks, adding irony and humour to everyday objects. In addition, quotes from Virgil Abloh were featured on several walls of the space. A highlight of the evening was a performance by the rappers JAS CRW.
